Artist Aya Konno has created an abstract painting based on the theme of "The Blooms: Flowers Blooming in the Heart," using a color palette that represents the landscapes of her childhood and flowers, the source of beauty, as her motif.

He pursued new uses of color and beauty through spatial color usage influenced by Japanese art and his own techniques of "bleeding" and "fading."

The works in this "Wear Art" project are inspired by the desire to connect the inherent aesthetic sense of Japanese culture to world peace.

(I started drawing at around age 4 and this year marks my 73rd year.)
Since childhood, I have loved colors, and color has been a keyword in my life. There are two rooms in the temple where my parishioner lives, and the impact of the sliding door paintings "Hell Painting" and "Heaven Painting" on the wall was the original scenery that made me want to become an artist. The "Hell Painting" was more colorful and inspired me, but the "Heaven Painting" was not interesting. Later, I became aware of the high spirituality of the Jomon culture in my hometown of Sendai in the Tohoku region,
He was also inspired by the vividness of the Akita beech forests, and began to look within himself and value abstraction.

In 1973, he moved to London and obtained an artist visa, where he worked on the record jacket for Eric Clapton's "Just One Night" and the film imagery for Stanley Kubrick's "Barry Lyndon."
